Three IEDs planted by Naxalites recovered

Sukma. During a search operation on the Jagargunda-Narsapuram road, approximately 3.7 kilometers south of the Jagargunda camp in the district, security forces recovered and safely defused three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by Naxalites.

According to reports, CRPF personnel from the 226th Battalion were conducting a search operation when they recovered three IEDs planted by Naxalites along the Jagargunda-Narsapuram road. These IEDs, planted with the intention of causing significant damage to security forces, weighed 1 kg, 2 kg, and 4 kg. Following the recovery, the search team returned to the battalion camp after destroying them on the spot with the help of the bomb disposal squad, DSMD, and dog squad. This discovery confirms the continued presence of Naxalites in the area, which the security forces aim to eliminate by the March 31st deadline.
