Chief Minister Participates in Shri Vishnu Mahayagya, Blesses Newlywed Couples at Community Wedding in Village Gahira,Sant Gahira Guru : A Pillar of Sanatan Dharma and Social Reform – CM Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today visited Sant Gahira Guru Ashram in Village Gahira, Raigarh district, where he paid floral tributes to Sant Gahira Guru Ji, participated in the Shri Vishnu Mahayagya, and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state.
Expressing his deep connection with Gahira, CM Sai recalled that his first parliamentary election victory from Raigarh was with the blessings of this sacred land. He recalled that during Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji’s tenure as Prime Minister, he had adopted Village Gahira for development, initiating several key projects. While significant progress was made, some initiatives remained unfinished. Now, it as an opportunity to complete the remaining work, as Chief Minister, and further strengthen the region’s development.
Acknowledging the Gahira Guru Saint Community’s role in preserving Sanatan Dharma and social reform, he highlighted how Sant Gahira Guru Ji countered rising issues like religious conversions, social evils, and substance abuse by promoting yagyas, Ramcharitmanas recitations, and Sanskrit education. He lauded the institution for continuing this legacy through schools and colleges, ensuring tribal youth receive Sanskrit and cultural education.
Referring to Chhattisgarh’s spiritual heritage, CM Sai emphasized that a significant part of Lord Ram’s exile was spent in the state, with historical evidence across various locations. He invited devotees to the upcoming Prayagraj Mahakumbh, assuring that the Chhattisgarh government has arranged seamless accommodations for them.
During his visit, CM Sai also attended a mass wedding ceremony, extending his blessings to newlywed couples and reaffirming his government's commitment to cultural preservation, social empowerment, and holistic development.
"With the blessings of Sant Gahira Guru Ji, Chhattisgarh is advancing towards progress, good governance, and cultural resurgence," CM Sai stated, reiterating his commitment to preserving traditions while steering the state towards new heights of prosperity.
