Dokra. Preparations for Prana Pratishtha in Sri Jagannath Temple are going on with full enthusiasm and devotion. Spiritual energy is flowing in the temple premises, where a huge crowd of devotees is gathering.This morning, Lord Jagannath's Neelchakra along with Mata Vimala and Mata Lakshmi reached the priest's place with a grand procession from Puri. All the idols were welcomed amidst Hari Kirtan and Vedic chanting.

The formal start of the Prana Pratishtha program will begin from May 21

This grand ritual will begin with a grand Kalash Yatra on May 21, in which thousands of devotees will participate. In the Kalash Yatra, women devotees in traditional attire will make the religious atmosphere devotional by carrying Kalash on their heads.The yatra will start from Maini Nadi Bagiya and will reach the temple via the main roads of the city.

The chief guests will be Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Smt. Kaushalya Sai

The chief guest of the Prana Pratishtha Mahotsav will be Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai. They will inaugurate the program on May 21.

The city will be immersed in devotion for 7 days

Under this religious festival, various religious programs will be organized for 7 days, which include night bhajan evening, Sankirtan, Badi Pala havan-pujan and various religious rituals. Worship will be done by the saints and mahatmas of Puri.

Meena Bazaar will become a centre of attraction for children and youth

The Meena Bazaar to be held near the Shiv Mandir premises will also be a special feature of this programme. Various types of shops, swings, games and toys and food stalls will be set up here, which will become a major centre of entertainment for children and youth.

Huge Bhandara will be organized every day and after Purnahuti, there will be a city tour. The Prana Pratishtha ceremony will conclude on 27th May with a huge Bhandara and Shobha Yatra. Thousands of devotees will receive prasad on this day and the city tour will be done.
