Raipur : People of Jagargunda area of Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, which has been affected by the Naxal problem for a long time, will now also get the benefit of banking facilities. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today virtually inaugurated the branch of Indian Overseas Bank in Jagargunda, Sukma from the Chief Minister's residence.
About 14 thousand villagers from 12 nearby villages will get the benefit of banking facility from this branch of the bank.
Chief Minister Shri Sai while addressing the inauguration program through video conference said that today is a historic day for the people of this area.This area has been affected by Naxalism for a long time. In the last one and a half years, under our double engine government, we have succeeded in establishing peace in the Bastar region. This is the reason why a new bank branch has opened here today. The benefits of schemes are reaching the people.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai said that due to the State Government's strategy of security, development and trust, continuous operations of the security forces and the firm resolve of the Central and State Government, the villages of Bastar region are rapidly overcoming the Naxal problem and joining the mainstream of development.
Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a guarantee to provide banking facilities in all the Gram Panchayats,Acting on this, on the occasion of National Panchayat Day on 24 April, 1460 Atal Panchayat Digital Service Centers have been started in 10-10 Gram Panchayats of every development block.Where the villagers have started getting the benefits of banking facilities. This facility will be expanded to all the Gram Panchayats in a year. The Chief Minister also gave detailed information about Sushasan Tihaar to the villagers.Shri Sai said that during Sushasan Tihar he himself visited the Digital Seva Kendras and reviewed the arrangements. Villagers are taking advantage of the banking facility here.
