Bijapur:  A shocking murder has emerged from Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, where assailants entered a home and brutally murdered an elderly man with an axe. The attackers brutally murdered him in front of his wife. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information and have begun investigating the case.

This horrific incident occurred in the Basaguda police station area. Three attackers entered a home and murdered an elderly man. They first gagged him with a cloth and then killed him with an axe. The attackers brutally murdered him in front of his wife, causing widespread panic in the area.

According to reports, the deceased, Dharma Soyam, was a resident of Putkel village. On the night of November 14th, while he was sleeping, three attackers entered the house, tied a cloth over his mouth, and then killed him with an axe. The accused fled after the murder. The entire incident occurred in front of Dharma Soyam's wife. The incident has caused an atmosphere of panic in the village.

Fear of Naxalite conspiracy

It is suspected that this may be a Naxalite conspiracy. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information and have registered a case. The police are currently investigating whether the murder was committed by unknown assailants or Naxalites.

Major action by security forces against Naxalites

It should be noted that security forces are continuing their anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, in Bijapur, a soldier was injured in an IED blast on Friday, while in Narayanpur, security forces demolished a Naxalite memorial while establishing a security camp.

During the incident, an IED planted by Naxalites exploded, injuring an STF soldier. The injured soldier has been referred to Raipur for treatment. A new security camp has been established in Jatlur to provide security and basic amenities to the villagers of Abujhmad. Furthermore, the Chhattisgarh Police's special forces (DRG), Bastar Fighters, and the central paramilitary force ITBP conducted a joint operation targeting Naxalite structures and demolished a grand Naxalite monument. This monument had long been a symbol of Naxalite activity in the region.
