Chhattisgarh administration active to stop illegal paddy transportation, strict monitoring at border checkposts
Raipur. As soon as the purchase of paddy at the support price began in Chhattisgarh, the administration across the state has become strict to prevent the possibility of illegal paddy transportation in some areas. In this sequence, on the instructions of the Jashpur District Collector, a team from the Revenue Department conducted a surprise late-night inspection of the checkpoints along the Jharkhand border and thoroughly reviewed the arrangements.
The inspection team included Tehsildar Jayshree Rajanpathy, Deputy Tehsildar Arun Kumar, Food Inspector Alok Toppo, Market Inspector, Revenue Inspector, and Patwari. The team visited Bhalmanda, Sakardega, and Saintangatoli checkpoints, where security arrangements, surveillance systems, and vehicle checking procedures were reviewed. Officials were given necessary instructions on the spot to prevent potential illegal paddy transportation.
The Sarpanchs and Secretaries of the respective villages were also present. Officials urged local awareness and prompt reporting of suspicious activities in border areas to ensure effective control of illegal movement.
The district administration has clarified that continuous monitoring will continue in the border areas and strict action will be taken against those violating the rules.
