Daughter on her way to see her ailing mother dies tragically in a road accident, father blames himself
Rajnandgaon, CG News: A 29-year-old woman traveling from the district to her parents' home in Bhilai died in a road accident. The incident occurred on the morning of November 22nd under the Power House Overbridge, where a speeding trailer struck her bike from behind.
The woman was crushed under the wheels of the trailer upon impact. She died on the spot, while her father was seriously injured. The deceased was identified as Sakshi Dwivedi (29), an HR executive at a private company in Rajnandgaon.
Trailer hits bike
According to information, Sakshi lived at her in-laws' house in Rajnandgaon. On the morning of November 22, she got off the Chhattisgarh Express at the Power House station. Her father had come to pick her up from here. From the station, the father and daughter set out on a bike towards their maternal home in Bhilai-3. As soon as they got down from the Power House overbridge, a speeding trailer hit them from behind. As soon as the collision took place, the father fell away along with the bike, while Sakshi fell backwards on the road and got hit by the trailer. The trailer dragged her for some distance. She died on the spot.
According to family members, Sakshi was married in February 2024. The family had barely settled into happiness when this tragic accident occurred. Upon receiving news of the incident, her husband and in-laws arrived in Bhilai. Her husband has been crying repeatedly.
She often came to her parents' house on Saturdays and Sundays.
Sakshi regularly visited Bhilai, as her mother had been ill for some time. Since she had Saturday and Sunday holidays, she often spent time at her parents' home. On November 22nd, she was supposed to visit her mother, but she passed away midway.
The father is crying and feeling guilty
Sakshi's father is inconsolable after the accident. He repeatedly says that if he hadn't gone to the station or had changed his route, his daughter might have survived. Family members are trying to console him, but he's finding it extremely difficult to recover from the shock.
