Raipur :The foundation days of six states and union territories were celebrated today at Raj Bhavan, with Governor Shri Ramen Deka as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Deka said that India's soul resides in its diversity, and this is our greatest strength. The "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" campaign, initiated under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a powerful symbol of this unity and cultural prosperity.
Speaking at the foundation day celebrations held at Chhattisgarh Mandapam in Raj Bhavan on Sunday, Governor Ramen Deka said on the occasion of the foundation day of the states and union territories of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Ladakh and Andaman and Nicobar that this initiative is not only a medium of cultural exchange but also a medium of emotional integration.
Under the Central Government's "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" program, all states celebrate each other's foundation days to promote the spirit of unity in diversity. In this connection, the foundation days of these states were celebrated with great enthusiasm today at the Chhattisgarh Mandapam in the Raj Bhavan.
On this occasion, Governor Shri Deka said that despite differences in languages, clothing, food, art, and traditions, our soul is one. This diversity makes India unique in the world. The states whose foundation days are being celebrated today further highlight India's rich cultural heritage.
Shri Deka said that Chhattisgarh is a state full of natural beauty and rich cultural diversity. Its culture dates back to the Ramayana period. It is the land of Lord Shri Ram's work. More than 35 tribes reside in Chhattisgarh, each with its own unique traditions, languages, and lifestyles. The state's tribal traditions hold a distinct identity across the country. The people of Chhattisgarh are very simple and live in harmony with nature. Chhattisgarh is known as the mineral capital of India and is also the rice bowl. There is also immense tourism potential here. Due to its geographical location, Raipur is poised to become an education hub. By increasing the availability of basic amenities, this region can be further developed educationally.
The Governor said that Madhya Pradesh is the heart of India. The state boasts many important natural treasures and historical sites. It attracts both domestic and foreign tourists from both religious and tourism perspectives. The mystical temples of Khajuraho, the Sanchi Stupa, and the Bhimbetka Caves are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are two separate states, but their food, language, culture, and customs are somewhat similar, and they are bound by an unbreakable bond of mutual affection.
