PM Modi to visit Chhattisgarh on November 29, 60th DGP-IG conference in Naya Raipur
Raipur. The 60th All India DGP-IG Conference will be held in Chhattisgarh from November 28th to 30th at the IIM campus in Naya Raipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will be in attendance at the three-day event. A team from the Special Protection Group (SPG) inspected the venue today. State police have begun street rehearsals for security arrangements, and Naya Raipur will remain completely sealed.
The conference will discuss important national security issues. The main focus will be on cybersecurity, counterterrorism measures, drug control, and border management. Two sessions will be held on the first day, four on the second, and two on the third day. DGPs and IGs from across the country will participate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the closing session of the conference, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be present at the inaugural session.
Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Raman Singh's bungalow will be used as the temporary PMO. Prime Minister Modi will stay in M-1, and the Union Home Minister in M-11. The new Circuit House will accommodate National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Deputy NSA Anish Dayal Singh, IB Chief Tapan Deka, the Union Home Secretary, and both Union Ministers of State for Home Affairs. 140 rooms have been booked at Thakur Pyarelal Institute and 91 at Nemora Academy.
The conference's security arrangements will be overseen by ADG Dipanshu Kabra and IG Amresh Mishra. In addition to the state police, central forces, intelligence, and other security agencies will also assist in the overall arrangements. Director Generals of Police (DGPs) from 33 states and union territories across the country, 20 DGs/ADGs of paramilitary forces, and 75 senior police officers will participate in the conference.
Last year, this conference was held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Hosting the DGP-IG conference for the first time in Chhattisgarh is considered a major achievement for the state.
