Raipur. Mr. Jagdish V. Parikh, a representative of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today at the Mahanadi Bhawan in the Ministry. During the meeting, the special efforts being made in the field of higher education in the state and new possibilities were discussed in detail.
Parikh informed the Chief Minister about the institute's proposal to establish its campus in EduCity, Naya Raipur. He also shared information about the courses and academic activities offered by NMIMS. Mr. Parikh also informed him about his meeting with Housing and Environment Minister O.P. Chaudhary today and assured him of all possible departmental support through him.
Chief Minister Sai stated that the state government is developing EduCity in Naya Raipur with a commitment to providing quality higher education. He stated that EduCity will provide the state's youth with the opportunity to study at national-level institutions without the need to migrate to larger cities. He added that the arrival of a prestigious institution like the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies will provide the state's youth with access to quality, high-level education in the fields of management and engineering. The establishment of national and international institutions in EduCity will provide a new direction to youth skill development and create better employment opportunities. It
is noteworthy that the state government is building EduCity to develop Naya Raipur as an educational hub. It is proposed to establish a multi-disciplinary university, research center, incubation hub, digital library, science and innovation center, and state-of-the-art laboratories. This will provide national and international education, research, and startup opportunities to the state's youth.
Prestigious institutions like IIIT, IIM, and National Law University already operate in Naya Raipur. The development of EduCity will create a strong and modern education ecosystem here. Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Chief Executive Officer of the Naya Raipur Development Authority, Mr. Chandan Kumar, and senior officials were present during the meeting.
