Chief Minister Sai will gift development works worth more than Rs 194 crore to Balodabazar.

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will be the chief guest at the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony held at the Durga Puja ground in Suhela, the tehsil headquarters of Balodabazar, on December 4, 2025. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai will present development works worth ₹194.79 crore to the residents of the district. This includes the inauguration of 94 works worth ₹41.91 crore and the groundbreaking ceremony for 80 works worth ₹152.87 crore. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will preside over the ceremony. District in-charge and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma will be the special guests. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Janjgir-Champa MP Kamlesh Jangde, former Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal, and local public representatives will be the special guests.
Materials and cheques worth more than Rs 5 crore will be distributed to 16,013 beneficiaries during the programme. Keys to their houses will be handed over to 1,073 beneficiaries who have completed their housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural Housing Scheme). These include distribution of rights documents to 5,000 farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Swamvitva Yojana (Prime Minister's Ownership Scheme), distribution of cheques worth Rs 27 lakh for refund of money in cyber fraud cases, distribution of cheques worth Rs 83 lakh to beneficiaries of various schemes by the Labour Department, post-matric scholarships worth Rs 4.25 crore to 8,333 students by the Tribal Development Department, distribution of cheques worth Rs 25 lakh to 16 beneficiaries under the Saksham Yojana and women self-help groups under the Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh, distribution of cheques worth Rs 9.69 lakh to 10 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister's Employment Generation Programme by Khadi Village Industries, and distribution of cheques worth Rs 6.81 lakh to 60 beneficiaries under the Hum Honge Kamyaab scheme.
Major inauguration works - Construction of 1073 houses at a cost of Rs 12 crore 87 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Single Tap Water Scheme Amakoni at a cost of Rs 1 crore 74 lakh by the Public Health Engineering Department, Retrofitting Tap Water Supply Scheme Hathband at a cost of Rs 1 crore 61 lakh, Single Tap Water Scheme Pausari at a cost of Rs 1 crore 52 lakh, Single Tap Water Scheme Semharadih at a cost of Rs 1 crore 44 lakh, Tap Water Supply Scheme Khapardih at a cost of Rs 1 crore 43 lakh.
Major Bhoomi Pujan works - Balodabazar-Risda-Hathband road strengthening work by Public Works Department at a cost of Rs 49 crore 17 lakh, construction of Risda bypass road of Balodabazar at a cost of Rs 20 crore 98 lakh, construction of indoor stadium complex in Balodabazar at a cost of Rs 15 crore 59 lakh, construction of 717 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin at a cost of Rs 8 crore 60 lakh by Panchayat and Rural Development Department, construction of Sungera Anicut across Kolhan drain of development block Tilda at a cost of Rs 8 crore 4 lakh by Water Resources Department.
