Chhattisgarh ranks first in the country in the construction of Prime Minister's houses – Dev
Raipur. Bharatiya Janata Party State President Kiran Dev described the two-year tenure of the BJP government in the state, led by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, as a genuine document of its accomplishments and achievements. He said that the state government has earned credibility by fulfilling the promise of providing a permanent roof to every poor person in the state, which the BJP had expressed in the "Modi Guarantee" during the assembly elections.
The BJP State President detailed the important decisions and achievements of the BJP government in Chhattisgarh in the last two years, stating that on the second day of the BJP government's formation in the state, a cabinet meeting was held and a decision was taken to approve the provision of Prime Minister's Housing Scheme to 18,12,743 needy families, in accordance with Modi's guarantee. Since the launch of the scheme, over 26 lakh Prime Minister's Housing Schemes have been approved in rural and urban areas of the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), against the target of 26,27,223 houses, 24,22,571 houses have been approved and houses for 16,72,002 beneficiaries have been completed by 2016-26. Accelerating the pace of housing construction, approximately 2,000 houses are being constructed daily, placing Chhattisgarh at the top position in the country. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan Yojana, special backward tribal families in Chhattisgarh are being benefited with pucca houses, under which a total of 33,217 houses have been approved so far. Similarly, under the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme (Gramin), houses have been approved for 38,798 homeless families in the state.
Dev said that 15,000 houses have been approved for surrendered Naxalites and Naxal-affected families in the Naxal-affected areas of the state. Security camps established in Naxal-affected areas have been established within 10 km of each other. In the villages falling under the Niyada Nellanar scheme, a target has been set to construct 13,788 houses in 327 villages and 1.32 lakh houses in urban areas under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0. Similarly, under Awas se Ajeevika Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, more than 8000 women self-help group didis became Lakhpati didis by supplying centering plates and construction material. He said that Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra has made withdrawal of installments of PMAY-G beneficiaries easier in more than 4500 Gram Panchayats.
