MCB.  In Chhattisgarh's MCB district, the Sarpanch's husband has apologized at the SDM's office for the misbehavior with a BLO engaged in SIR work.

The matter of the Sarpanch's husband, Deep Narayan, behaving rudely with Sushmita Tiwari, a BLO engaged in SIR work, and Anganwadi worker, during the Gram Sabha held on November 29, 2025, in the Gram Panchayat Bichhiyatola, is now being taken seriously at the administrative level. Sushmita Tiwari was having a formal discussion with Sarpanch Sonkunwar regarding the child marriage-free oath program in the Gram Sabha, when the Sarpanch's husband interrupted and not only disrupted the proceedings of the meeting, but also insulted the dignity of the meeting by misbehaving.

Even before this, a case of preventing Sarpanch Sonkuwar from signing the SIR panchnama process, conducted under the Election Commission of India, has come to light. Following the complaint, Kelhari Tehsildar Satrupa Sahu intervened and clearly instructed the Sarpanch's husband that the Sarpanch's signature on the panchnama is absolutely mandatory in the SIR process and that no one can unauthorisedly obstruct government work.

After being rude to the BLO and Anganwadi worker engaged in SIR work, Sarpanch's husband Deep Narayan appeared at the Sub-Divisional Magistrate's office in Kelhari and apologized verbally and in writing for his behavior before SDM Indira Mishra.

SDM Indira Mishra, while accepting the apology, issued a stern warning that the administration considers any incident of misbehavior, obstruction, or pressure against any official or employee engaged in government work a serious crime. She clearly stated that any such incident that occurs in the future will result in strict and immediate action by the administration.
