According to information, the incident occurred in the Kotwali police station area. Constable Damru Nayak, 29, of Bajwand village, was posted in the police lines. He went missing from home on the evening of December 3rd, and his family reported him to the Kotwali police station.

A missing person's complaint was filed and an investigation was initiated. Meanwhile, the Kotwali police station received information about a body found in the forest of Asna village. When police arrived at the scene, the body was hanging from a tree.

Police identified the body as that of missing constable Damru Nayak. A preliminary investigation suggests the deceased committed suicide due to personal problems. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. The deceased constable's family is also being questioned.

After this incident, the family members of the deceased constable are in a bad condition, crying.

"Constable Damru Nayak, No. 3092, resident of Bajawand village, age 29, posted in the police line, was missing from home since the evening of 03/12/25, about which his family informed the police station Kotwali. Upon receiving the information, the police station searched for constable Damru Nayak, during which the Kotwali police found the body of Damru Nayak hanging from a tree in the forest of village Asana. Prima facie investigation suggests that the deceased committed suicide due to personal problems. The body has been sent for post-mortem and the investigation is ongoing."
