Raipur. The Food and Drug Administration Department received information on December 6, 2025, regarding the discovery of a meat-like substance inside a bottle of Calcid Syrup at the Urban Primary Health Center, Devpuri. Taking the matter very seriously, the Food and Drug Administration, Chhattisgarh, initiated an immediate investigation. On December 7, 2025, a joint investigation team from Raipur district duly collected samples of the relevant Calcid Suspension 200 ml, Batch No. ALGE 4061, M/D 05/2024, E/D 04/2026, manufactured by Actinova Private Limited, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The collected samples have been sent to the State Drug Testing Laboratory, Raipur, for further quality testing. Upon receiving the test report, action will be taken as per the provisions of the Act.
Under the direction of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, drug inspectors of the Food and Drug Administration, Chhattisgarh, are continuously taking action to ensure the quality of medicines at the state level.
