A single bench of High Court Judge Arvind Kumar Verma heard the bail plea of ​​Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who is currently in jail in connection with the liquor scam. Baghel's lawyer requested bail based on the delay in the trial and the lack of involvement by Baghel in the liquor scam.
