Complete the work of compensation distribution under Bharatmala Project: Collector Vyas

Revenue officers should inspect paddy purchasing centres daily.

Jashpurnagar. Collector Rohit Vyas held a detailed review meeting with Revenue Department officials in the Collectorate meeting room today. Collector Vyas inquired about the current status of compensation distribution to those affected by land acquisition under the Bharatmala Project. He directed that the compensation amount be distributed to those affected by the land acquisition process, while resolving technical difficulties. He also urged that this work be prioritized and completed expeditiously. 

He said that after the work of compensation distribution is ensured, action will be taken to provide physical possession of the land to NH. So that the work of Kunkuri Pathalgaon road construction can start smoothly, this will facilitate the movement of people. In the meeting, the Collector took information about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) works of voter list going on in the district. He gave instructions to complete all the works within the time limit. During this, Assistant Collector Aniket Ashok, Additional Collector Pradeep Sahu, SDM of the district, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and other revenue officers participated in the meeting.

The Collector also instructed Revenue Department officials to remain active and vigilant in light of paddy procurement. He stated that paddy is being procured from registered farmers in the district through cooperative societies. There should be no illegal purchase or sale of paddy anywhere in the district. Vehicles should be monitored regularly for transportation. Additionally, the SDM and Tehsildar, along with their subordinate staff, should inspect paddy procurement centers daily to assess necessary arrangements. They should also inspect rice mills and take action if any irregularities or mismanagement are found. He also directed that flying squads conduct regular patrols and inspect checkpoints. If information is received about illegal purchase, sale, or storage of paddy, cases should be prepared and strict action should be taken. Action should also be taken to seize the illegal paddy and related vehicles. He also directed that CCTV cameras be activated at checkpoints established in the district to better monitor inter-district traffic.
