Ensure smooth implementation of PM Dhan Dhanya Yojana in the district: Collector Vyas

Jashpurnagar . Collector Rohit Vyas held a meeting with officials in the Collectorate meeting room today to review various schemes being implemented in the district. He reviewed the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, gathered information on the Swachh Bharat Mission, Women and Child Development, Social Welfare Department, and NRLM schemes, and issued necessary instructions. 

The Collector gave necessary instructions for the smooth implementation of the ambitious scheme PM Dhan Dhanya Yojana run by the Central Government. He said that Jashpur district has been included in this important scheme. Through this, the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department will take necessary initiatives to promote farmers and engage them in livelihood activities. For the economic development of fishermen groups, the Collector gave instructions to register fishermen farmers, update the ponds constructed under MNREGA in the revenue records under the process of leasing ponds.

He inquired about the progress of housing construction works under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Man Yojana. Collector Vyas gave clear instructions that all ongoing Jan Man Awas construction works should be completed by March 2026 at any cost. He said that by holding regular meetings with the Sarpanch, Secretary, Awas Mitra and beneficiaries, the construction works should be expedited and regular inspections should be conducted. During this meeting, all the District CEOs, officers of the concerned departments and Block Coordinators were present.

Collector Vyas, during his review of the Women and Child Development Department, directed that the recruitment of vacant workers and assistants in Anganwadi centers be completed expeditiously. He placed special emphasis on the construction of toilets in Anganwadi buildings under construction and ensuring tap water connections. During his review of the Social Welfare Department, the Collector took information on the status of Aadhaar seeding and UID card saturation of pension beneficiaries and gave necessary guidelines.

In the review of Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), he gave instructions to pay special attention to ODF Plus model, solid and liquid waste management, garbage collection in villages, cleanliness of fairs and markets, construction of individual and community toilets, plastic waste management and regular organization of cleanliness labour donation.
