Chirayu Yojana also proved to be a lifeline for children: Three children underwent successful free surgeries in Raipur.

Jashpurnagar. The National Child Health Program, Chirayu Yojana, is proving to be a lifeline for children. This scheme has not only given new life to many innocent children, but has also brought smiles back to the faces of poor families. On the instructions of Collector Rohit Vyas, the Chirayu team is actively visiting various schools and Anganwadi centers in the district to check the health of children. If a serious illness or congenital deformity is found, they are provided free treatment in better health institutions.

In this context, under the guidance of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, District Nodal Officer, Chirayu, the Chirayu team of Pathalgaon development block visited various schools and Anganwadi centers to identify children suffering from congenital heart disease, cleft lip and palate, and other surgically treatable conditions. Upon confirmation of the disease, three children were taken to Raipur and underwent successful, free operations. Among these, 4-year-old Sameer Khadia was found to be suffering from congenital heart disease during an examination at the Anganwadi Center, Gautiapara, Kotba. The Chirayu team sent him to Raipur and performed a free heart operation.
