Health Minister inaugurated the 120-seater hostel of the Medical College
Raipur. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal inaugurated the 120-seater contract hostel of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Raipur on Saturday. The opening of this hostel, built in the Shanti Nagar area, will provide great relief to medical students in terms of accommodation facilities.
On the occasion of the inauguration, the Health Minister said that the state government is continuously striving to strengthen medical education and health infrastructure. With the opening of this new contract hostel, students will get a safe, well-organized and conducive study environment, which will also improve their educational quality. He said that keeping in mind the convenience of the students, the construction of the permanent hostel of the medical college will also be completed soon. This hostel is equipped with basic amenities, including clean rooms, drinking water, electricity, security, and other necessary facilities. This will especially benefit students coming from distant places.
On this occasion, the students of the medical college thanked the Health Minister and said that by getting the facility of this hostel, their dilemma regarding studies has been resolved and now they will be able to do their studies and medical work well in a better environment.
Raipur South MLA Sunil Soni, Medical College Dean Dr. Vivek Chaudhary, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Santosh Sonkar, Medical Education Department officials, doctors, students and other citizens were present during the program.
