00 Village Kere will be developed as a model community tourism destination
Raipur. An important step has been taken towards establishing Jashpur district as a major eco-tourism destination. In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with India's leading homestay platform Homestays of India, Chhattisgarh Government and Jashpur District Administration in a program organized at Chief Minister's Camp Office Bagiya today. Under this, Village Kere will be developed as a model community tourism village. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the homestay prepared in Village Kere. 

The MoU will lead to the creation of Jashpur's first organized homestay village. A well-organized and scalable homestay-based rural tourism ecosystem will be established. This initiative will ensure the active participation of local families, strengthen sustainable livelihoods, and promote entrepreneurship among youth and women through capacity building and skills development. The project's primary objective is to preserve and promote local culture, traditions, and natural heritage, ensuring tourism development is inclusive, community-owned, and environmentally sustainable, while preserving the region's cultural identity.

The memorandum of understanding was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Sai by Collector Jashpur Shri Rohit Vyas, Chief Executive Officer Shri Vinod Verma, and representatives of Homestays of India Pvt. Ltd. Officials stated that this initiative aligns with the state government's vision of eco-tourism, inclusive growth, and community-led economic development. Through authentic tourism experiences grounded in local culture and nature, the project will strengthen Jashpur's identity and help establish it on the national tourism map.
