Raipur. Governor Ramen Deka stated that the primary purpose of education should not be merely to earn a living, but rather to develop the entire society through acquiring knowledge and wisdom. He stated that change is the law of life, and education brings many positive changes in our lives. If, through our education, we can improve the lives of those left behind in society, our lives will be successful and we will be able to make the best use of this precious human life. Degrees and medals were awarded to 816 graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students at the convocation ceremony. Mansi Madan Tripathi, President, Shell India and Senior Vice President, Shell Lubricants Asia Pacific, was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) by the University.

Governor Shri Ramen Deka attended the fourth convocation of Amity University, Chhattisgarh, as the chief guest today. Held at the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur, he emphasized that the goal of development can only be achieved through good education. Citing the wisdom imparted by Shri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, he said that we must constantly engage with our inner self to understand the difference between right and wrong. Listening to your inner self will help us to avoid wrongdoing, bringing us closer to God and achieving self-satisfaction. Education can provide us with knowledge and wisdom. Life should have a purpose, and we should adopt a holistic approach to education. He emphasized that education teaches us to improve our lifestyles by using technology, but we should also contribute to our society, nation, and institutions.
Referring to the new education policy, the Governor said that now you can get the degree of your choice at any age. He said that in the rush of building a career, we forget our passion. The purpose of life is not only to earn a living, but also to achieve happiness and self-satisfaction, hence we should follow our passion. On this occasion, many talented students were honored for their outstanding performance. Eight students were awarded the Shri Baljeet Shastri Award, 31 students were awarded the Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan Award, and 20 students were awarded gold medals. Sonal Dhomne (B.Tech. CSE) was awarded the Best All-Rounder Trophy for her outstanding performance.
Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder Chairman, Amity University, urged students to set a purpose in life and contribute to the goal of a developed India 2047. Dr. Aseem Chauhan, President, Ritnand Balved International Education Foundation and Chairman, Amity University, Chhattisgarh, said that Amity has provided students with the values, attitudes, and technical skills to achieve success in life. A large number of Registrars, faculty members, Deans, Professors, students, and their families were present.
