Bumper employment opportunities are being provided along with water conservation; the "More Village, More Taria" campaign is improving rural areas.

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: As part of the Chhattisgarh government's top priority for water conservation and enhancement, the "More Village, More Taria" campaign is being rapidly implemented in Bilaspur district. This campaign not only ensures water security in villages, but also lays a strong foundation for rural development and environmental protection. Continuous efforts are being made to transform the state government's water conservation campaign into a widespread public movement.

Aiming to complete the work before the monsoon, work intensifies in Masturi

Under the campaign, work on constructing a new pond in Bohardih Gram Panchayat, Masturi Janpad Panchayat, Bilaspur district, is progressing at a war footing. The administration has developed a special action plan keeping in mind the upcoming monsoon. The goal is to complete the construction work with quality before the rainy season begins, ensuring maximum rainwater harvesting for the upcoming season.

38 new ponds got approval in the district

To provide a permanent solution to the water crisis, water structures are being expanded extensively in the district. Under the scheme, administrative approval has been granted for the construction of a total of 38 new ponds in Bilaspur district. The construction of all these approved ponds is being rapidly progressed so that a strong water storage system can be developed during the rainy season. The construction of these ponds will improve the groundwater level in the area, provide adequate water for crop irrigation, provide drainage facilities for cattle, and provide relief from the water crisis during summer.

Villagers are getting employment at the local level

The "More Village, More River" campaign is proving to be a boon for villagers, with dual benefits. A large number of local rural workers have been employed in these construction projects. Permanent water resources in the form of ponds are being created in villages. By providing employment to workers in their own villages, migration is being curbed and their economic situation is improving.

Special attention to quality

All construction sites are being continuously monitored by the administrative officials so that there is no compromise on the quality of work and all the work can be completed within the stipulated time frame.
