Yoga leads to physical and mental development, adopt it in life – Minister Lakhanlal Devangan

People from all walks of life performed group yoga exercises on International Yoga Day.

Raipur,  On the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day, the citizens of the city practised yoga together in a district-level mass yoga programme. The State's Commerce, Industry and Labour Minister, Mr. Lakhanlal Dewangan, attended the district-level programme organised in the premises of the New Community Hall, Kanker, as the chief guest and participated in the mass yoga and practised various yoga postures. During this event, MLA Kanker, Mr. Asha Ram Netam, Chairman of the Municipal Corporation of Kanker, Mr. Arun Kaushik, former MP Mr. Mohan Mandavi, Member of Fertilizer Corporation of India, Mr. Haldhar Sahu, In-charge Collector and District Panchayat CEO Mr. Haresh Mandavi, DFO Mr. Raunak Goyal, along with public representatives, district-level officers, employees and citizens, students, ex-servicemen, NCC and NSS cadets participated in large numbers and practised various yoga postures and pranayama postures together.
After the group yoga practice, Chief Guest Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan addressed the gathering, stating that India's ancient tradition of yoga and spirituality has been adopted worldwide. The credit for gaining global recognition goes to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, whose sincere efforts made this possible. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai strives to ensure the health and well-being of the people of the state. He stated that yoga promotes physical and mental development and alleviates various disorders, making it essential for a healthy life. In the current environment, busyness and lack of time have distorted people's lifestyles, leading to various illnesses. Yoga promotes the positive development of a healthy body and mind. Just as ancient sages and saints awakened their inner strength and attained supernatural energy, we all need to follow their example. Minister Shri Devangan also pledged to make yoga a part of life and build a drug-free India.
At a program organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day, MLA Shri Asharam Netam explained the importance of yoga to the public and urged them to practice it regularly. He stated that yoga is crucial to our lives and everyone should make it a part of their daily routine. MLA Shri Netam stated that regular yoga practice promotes physical and mental development, allowing individuals to live a healthy and disease-free life. He appealed to all citizens to practice yoga daily and inspire others to do the same. He stated that yoga is the most effective way to maintain a healthy lifestyle in today's times. Yoga not only keeps the body healthy but also provides mental peace and positive energy. Shri Mahesh Jain also addressed the program and urged people to make yoga a part of their daily routine.
In the premises of U Community Hall Kanker, at 7 am today, along with all the guests present, various yoga exercises like Ardhachakrasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Shavasana, Vajrasana, Trikonasana, Uttanapadaasana, Katichakrasana, Ardhakatichakrasana, Ustrasana, Dandasana, Bhadrasana, Uttanamandukasana, Setu Dandasana, Pawan Muktasana, Makrasana, Pranayama, Nadisodhana and various yoga postures were practiced by yoga instructors Shri Mohan Senapati, Shri Upeshwar Thakur and Shri Kush Sahu. Along with this, various pranayamas like Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom, Bhramari were practiced collectively. Similarly, group yoga practice was performed on the occasion of International Yoga Day in all the district panchayats, urban bodies, schools and institutions of the district. On this occasion, councilors Mrs. Ugeshwari Uike and Sakuntala Jain, Mr. Dilip Jaiswal, Raja Devnani, Pappu Motwani, Raja Pandey, Sanjay Sinha, Sanju Gopal Sahu, Dinesh Rajak, Vijay Laxmi Kaushik, SDM Kanker Mr. Arun Verma along with senior citizens and a large number of officers, employees and students were present.
