Preparations underway to make Cooperative Week a mass movement
Minister Kedar Kashyap held a review meeting regarding the state level organization.
Cooperation week will be celebrated in the entire state from June 29 to July 6.

On the occasion of the completion of five years of the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperatives of the Government of India, a review meeting was held at the residence office in Nawa Raipur regarding the preparations for the Cooperative Week to be held from 29 June to 6 July 2026. In the meeting, Minister of Cooperatives Mr. Kedar Kashyap gave necessary guidelines to the departmental officers and representatives of various cooperative organizations and federations.

Addressing the strong base meeting of cooperative farmers and rural development, Minister Kedar Kashyap said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah, the cooperative sector has got a new identity in the country. Today, cooperatives have become an effective means of farmers' prosperity, rural development, women's empowerment and building a self-reliant India.

Cooperation Week Minister Shri Kashyap, who reached every district,
said that the Cooperation Week was not just a formal event but became a public participation campaign. For this, programs should be organized in all districts, development blocks and cooperative societies of the state and maximum participation of farmers, youth, women and common citizens should be ensured.
Special focus will be on awareness and innovation
Mr. Kashyap directed the officers to give priority to awareness, participation and innovation in the week-long programs. People should be informed about cooperative schemes, achievements and benefits, so that more and more people can join cooperatives.
There will be active participation of various sections
Minister Shri Kashyap said that active participation of farmers, women self-help groups, dairy farmers, fish farmers, forest produce collectors and artisans should be ensured during the cooperation week. This will further strengthen the cooperative movement. The preparations for the state level exhibition were also reviewed in the meeting where
success stories will be given prominence
. Minister Mr. Kashyap directed that the success stories, innovations and ground achievements of the beneficiaries benefited from cooperation should be displayed in the exhibition instead of just statistics, so that people can understand the real strength of cooperation.
'Emphasis on modern technology and digital services'
Minister Shri Kashyap said that it is the need of the hour to connect cooperatives with modern technology, digital services, value addition and better marketing arrangements. Special demonstrations and discussions on these topics will also be organized during the Cooperation Week. The
role
and achievements of District Cooperative Bank, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, Marketing Association, Dairy Federation, Fisheries Federation, Small Forest Products Association and other cooperative organizations were reviewed in the meeting. All organizations were requested to effectively present their achievements and future plans.
'Resolve to realize "Cooperation Se Samriddhi"
Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap said that "Cooperation Se Samriddhi" is not just a slogan, but the basis of the working culture of development. Our goal is that the benefits of co-operatives reach the last person of the society and make Chhattisgarh a strong identity among the leading co-operative states of the country.
Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Association Managing Director Mr. Jitendra Shukla, Cooperative Commissioner Mr. Ramesh Sharma, MD Apex Bank Mr. KN Kande, Additional Commissioner Cooperative Societies Mrs. Savitri Bhagat along with departmental senior officers, representatives of various cooperative organizations and federations were present in the meeting.
