The family of Mrs. Phulmati Devi, a resident of Mathpara in the Ambikapur Municipal Corporation area of Surguja district, is an inspiring example. Receiving a permanent house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and receiving monthly financial assistance of 1,000 rupees from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has brought security, respect, and renewed hope to her family. Mrs. Phulmati Devi explained that she uses the monthly assistance under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana to fund her children's education and meet the family's essential needs. She explained that she has three sons and two daughters. The family's primary source of livelihood is manual labor, but despite her limited income, she continues to strive to provide her children with a better education. According to her, this assistance is providing a significant support in shaping their children's future.
He said that getting a permanent home under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is like a dream come true for his family. Previously, they lived in a thatched house, where they faced many difficulties, especially during the rainy season. Now, living in a safe and permanent home has made life more comfortable and respectable for the entire family. Mr. Sanjay Chaudhary, Phulmati Devi's husband, said that receiving the house approved in his wife's name has ended years of family worries. He said that previously, the family, especially the women, faced difficulties due to the lack of basic amenities like toilets and bathrooms. Now, with a permanent home and all the necessary amenities available, life has become more secure and comfortable.
They said that the government's schemes have given their families a new identity, self-confidence, and hope for a better future. They are now inspired to work harder for their children's education and bright future. Mrs. Phoolmati Devi and Mr. Sanjay Chaudhary expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai and Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and said that the benefits of such public welfare schemes of the government should continue to reach as many needy families as possible.
