Raipur, July 24, 2026/ Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma today performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a 1.40 kilometer road and bridge from Amlidih village to Kamnabod in the Sahaspur Lohara development block of Kabirdham district, to be built at a cost of Rs 2 crore. He said that the construction of this road has been a major demand of the people of the area, and its completion will provide better transportation facilities to the villagers. On this occasion, he gave another gift to the villagers by announcing Rs 6.50 lakh for the construction of a building at the Sheetla Mata temple.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma gave clear instructions to the construction agency and contractor that all approved works, including roads, bridges, and culverts, be completed with high quality, in accordance with prescribed standards, so that the residents of the area can benefit from them for a long time. He said that these projects are being built for the convenience of the general public, and any kind of negligence or compromise on quality in the construction work will not be tolerated.

He said that the state government is prioritizing the development of basic amenities like roads, housing, electricity, irrigation, and drinking water for the overall development of rural areas. Since the formation of the government, construction work has been expedited by approving 1.8 million Prime Minister's Housing Schemes across the state, making the dream of a permanent home a reality for thousands of poor families.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that 255 Prime Minister's Housing Schemes have been approved in Amlidih and other dependent villages of Kuruva Panchayat over the past two years. This will provide safe and dignified housing to needy families. He added that along with housing, infrastructure is also being rapidly expanded in villages to ensure a better quality of life for the villagers.

Referring to improvements made to the power system, he said that a massive feeder separation campaign has been launched to ensure uninterrupted power supply in rural areas. Previously, eight to nine villages were connected to a single feeder, resulting in a technical fault in one village, affecting power supply to several villages. Now, this has been reduced to four villages per feeder, making it possible to quickly resolve faults and restore power quickly.

He informed that feeder separation work has been carried out in Amlidih at a cost of ₹52 lakh. Separate feeders have also been established for agricultural pumps, ensuring farmers receive regular and improved power supply for irrigation. 1.20 kilometers of LT cabling and a new 25 kVA transformer have been installed in the Amlidih settlement area at a cost of ₹7 lakh, providing improved electricity to domestic consumers.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that in addition to roads and electricity, several development projects, including concrete roads and check dams, have been approved in Amlidih. Completion of these projects will strengthen the village's basic infrastructure, boost agricultural activities, and positively improve the living standards of the villagers. He stated that the government's goal is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society, ensuring that every village becomes self-reliant and prosperous by being equipped with basic amenities.

On this occasion, District Panchayat President Shri Ishwari Sahu, Municipal Council President Smt. Sarita Santosh Mishra, District President Smt. Durga Patel, District Vice President Shri Ashok Patel, Shri Paretan Verma, Shri Lala Ram Sahu, Bhukhan Sahu, Shri Pardeshi Patel, Shri Jaleshwar Verma, Sarpanch Smt. Durga Santram Sahu along with other public representatives and villagers were present in large numbers.
