Providing false information in NEET UG counselling 2026 will lead to cancellation of admission

Health Minister said: Not a single seat entitled to the children of Chhattisgarh will be affected.

Raipur . Medical Education Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has stated that any kind of neglect of the interests of Chhattisgarh's children will not be tolerated. The purpose of increasing medical colleges and MBBS seats in the state is to provide more children from Chhattisgarh with the opportunity to pursue medical education.

Jaiswal stated that if any doubt or complaint arises regarding domicile, it will be investigated with utmost seriousness. The system has been made completely transparent and robust. Those whose documents are correct have no need to worry, but any violation of rules or fraud found will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He stated that the students of Chhattisgarh have worked hard, and it is our responsibility to protect their future and their rights. Increasing the number of medical colleges and seats is an achievement, but it is equally important to ensure that only deserving students benefit from them. There will be no negligence in this regard.

State-level counseling for NEET UG admission year 2026

Like previous years, this year too, the entire counseling, merit, and allotment process is being conducted transparently online, in accordance with the prevailing admission rules.

The Chhattisgarh State Counseling Committee has issued important guidelines regarding the state-level counseling for NEET UG admission year 2026.

Verification will be done under Rule 7.
According to Rule 7 of the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental, and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, the online counseling process includes registration, prioritization, allotment, verification of original documents, and admission. During the eligibility test, domicile certificates, category/category certificates, and other required documents will be verified as per the rules. After allotment, the admission process will be considered complete only after the candidate submits the required original documents and is found eligible upon verification.

Admission will be cancelled if incorrect information is provided.
Rule 12 of the Admission Rules clearly states that if a candidate has obtained admission by providing false or incorrect information or by concealing relevant facts, or if it is discovered at any time after admission that the candidate has obtained admission due to some error or omission, then their admission can be cancelled as per the rules. If any complaint or fact comes to light regarding their domicile or other documents, an investigation and necessary action will be taken as per the rules.
