In light of complaints of fraudulent bookings for Chhattisgarh's tourist destinations and tourism facilities, the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has urged tourists to remain vigilant. The Board has received information about unauthorized websites and channels claiming to provide fraudulent booking services in the name of Chhattisgarh Tourism. There is a risk that tourists may be duped into making online payments through such channels.

The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has clarified that tourists should only use the official Chhattisgarh Tourism website, tourism.cgstate.gov.in, to book tourist destinations, accommodations, and other tourism services. Do not trust any other website, unauthorized booking links, suspicious mobile numbers, advertisements, or social media pages that claim to offer bookings for Chhattisgarh tourism.

According to the Board, cyber fraudsters may mislead tourists by misusing Chhattisgarh Tourism's name, logo, photographs of tourist destinations, and other promotional materials. Such fraudsters may attempt to trick tourists into making online payments by promising bookings for rooms, tourist accommodations, tour packages, or other amenities at attractive rates. Therefore, it is important to verify the authenticity of the relevant website and booking process before making any payment.

The Tourism Board urges tourists to follow only authorized travel procedures for booking and to make payments through the same authorized procedures. Avoid sending money to personal accounts, suspicious payment methods, or unknown mobile numbers. Exercise extra caution, especially when receiving offers of low booking prices, pressure for immediate payment, or attractive travel packages.
