Farmers of the district are being benefited from the National Horticulture Mission Scheme: Rahul Bhagat is cultivating grafted tomatoes by adopting advanced technology, earns a profit of up to 2 lakhs from a good crop

As per the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, continuous efforts are being made by the Horticulture Department for seasonal farming as well as other crops and vegetable production for the farmers of the district and the department is benefiting them through schemes.In this series, farmer Mr. Rahul Bhagat of village Makarchuna of Pathalgaon development block has been benefited from National Horticulture Mission Scheme.
Farmer Mr. Rahul Bhagat has cultivated grafted tomato crop in 0.500 hectare by adopting advanced technology and installing mulching with drip irrigation facility.During this time, he devoted all his time to tomato crop. This year, the farmer got 40 quintals of production from the grafted tomato crop planted in 0.500 hectares. After using it himself, he got an economic profit of Rs. 200000.00 at the rate of Rs. 5000.00 per quintal.
Farmer Mr. Rahul Bhagat says that all this has been possible due to the support received from the Horticulture Department and the guidance received from the officers and employees from time to time. However, it cannot be denied that the farmer's own hard work and dedication is also a factor in his success.
