Jashpur . The life of Mrs. Sarita Bai Nagesia, who used to walk barefoot on the village paths, was never easy.This woman, who once used to work as a labourer to earn her daily bread, has not only become self-reliant today, but has also succeeded in changing the fate of her entire family.
The life of Sarita Bai, a resident of Chedia village panchayat of Manora development block, was also full of hardships like that of ordinary rural women.Going to work every morning, barely managing to run the household and the dream of educating the children remaining unfulfilled was a part of her daily life. She had no permanent income, no resources and no concrete plans to provide a better future to her family.But her situation was not always like this. She changed the direction of her life by taking advantage of government schemes.
The change came when she decided to join the Sitaram Mahila Self Help Group. This decision proved to be the most important turning point in her life.After joining the group, he not only got financial help but also his confidence increased. He recognized his hidden potential and decided to do something new. He took a loan from CIF and started making bricks. He faced difficulties in the initial days,But he did not give up. Gradually, by working hard, he expanded his business and then took a loan of Rs 1 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, which further strengthened his brick manufacturing business.Today she has been doing this work continuously for three years and is earning more than two lakh rupees annually.
Earlier Sarita Bai did not even have a bicycle, but today her hard work and self-reliance has made her so capable that she has bought a scooty for herself and a bike for her husband.Sarita Bai is now also doing farming in her own field, which is giving her additional income.

“Earlier I used to work as a labourer all day, but now I am running my own business with my hard work. After joining the women’s group, my life changed completely. Today I am self-reliant, I can take my own decisions. This change is like a dream come true for me.”
