Raipur: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has extended his heartfelt best wishes and greetings to all the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the 24th Tirthankar of Jainism, Lord Mahavir Swami.

In his message, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the message of great values like truth, non-violence, compassion and renunciation given by Lord Mahavira through his life is extremely relevant for today's social and moral life.

Shri Sai said that Lord Mahavira declared non-violence as the highest religion and made compassion and love the basis of life. He showed the path of harmony, co-existence and peace.

His teachings are not only the basis of religious faith, but they are an inspiration giving a new direction to humanity.The Chief Minister urged the people of the state to imbibe the teachings of Lord Mahavir in their lives and always be ready to help the poor, the needy and the weaker sections of the society.
