Raipur :  Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has extended his greetings and best wishes to all members of the media fraternity on the occasion of National Press Day, observed on November 16. Shri Sai emphasized that freedom of expression is the cornerstone and hallmark of India’s democracy. 

In his message, Chief Minister Shri Sai highlighted that an impartial press and fearless journalism are vital for a healthy democracy. He said that the media plays a crucial role in educating citizens about their rights and responsibilities while fostering awareness of national and public interests. National Press Day serves as a reminder of the importance and contributions of an independent and unbiased press in a vibrant democracy like India.

Jashpur - On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, members of Jashpur Press Club met Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai at CM House Bagiya and wished him Happy Diwali.During this, the Chief Minister welcomed the cordial meeting of the journalists and wished them a happy Diwali. District Public Relations Officer Mrs. Nutan Sidar was also present on this occasion.

After meeting the Chief Minister, members of the Press Club also met Jashpur Collector Rohit Vyas and Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh and extended warm wishes to them for Diwali. This meeting sent a message of better communication and coordination between officials and journalists in the district.The members of the Press Club expressed hope that on such occasions everyone will continue to cooperate in the development of the area.

Raipur । Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of Diwali festival. He has wished happiness, prosperity and well-being for all and has said that on the day of Diwali, Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after conquering Lanka. Lamps are lit to welcome and celebrate his arrival. This year's Diwali is very special, because after almost 500 years Lord Shri Ram has been seated in his grand temple in Ayodhya.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Diwali festival should be auspicious for everyone. The light of development should reach every village, the roots of mutual affection among the people should be deeper and stronger and with the blessings of goddess Lakshmi, Chhattisgarh state should be full of wealth and prosperity.

Tributes paid to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary

The CM has paid tribute to the country's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the Bagiya CM office.Recalling the contribution of Iron Man Sardar Patel to the country, the Chief Minister said that Sardar Patel was known for his patriotism, strong will and courage. He had a leading role in the country's freedom struggle.

Raipur, 30 October 2024: On the occasion of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day, all the district headquarters and major towns across the state will be illuminated with lamps on November 1st. The General Administration Department, Raipur, has issued a circular to all the district collectors, instructing them to ensure that citizens are encouraged to light lamps at their homes in observance of the State Foundation Day.

Raipur - On the occasion of the second day of Diwali (Goverdhan Puja), November 01 has been declared a public holiday for treasuries and banks across the state. An order to this effect has been issued today by the General Administration Department, Ministry of Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur.

Raipur - Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extends warm greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras. He stated that this festival marks the beginning of the five-day Diwali celebrations, during which people worship Kubera, the god of wealth, and Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health, seeking prosperity, abundance, and wellness.

The Chief Minister urged citizens to make Diwali celebrations meaningful for local potters, artisans, skilled workers, women’s self-help groups, and small businesses by choosing to buy diyas (earthen lamps) and other festive items from them. Wishing for joy and prosperity in everyone’s life, he expressed his hope that Dhanteras brings happiness and good health to all.

Raipur - Dr. Ravi Mittal, the newly appointed Commissioner of Public Relations, officially took office on Monday at the SAMVAD office in Naya Raipur. The charge was formally handed over by Acting Commissioner and Director Shri Ajay Agrawal, in the presence of senior officials from the Public Relations Department.

Dr. Mittal, an IAS officer from the 2016 batch, previously served as the Collector of Jaspur. His distinguished career includes roles as CEO of the Zila Panchayat in Mahasamund, Raigarh, and Raipur, as well as his tenure as SDM of Bagicha in 2018. Before joining the Indian Administrative Service, Dr. Mittal completed his MBBS degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi.

The candidates selected in the Police Recruitment Examination have a major responsibility to protect the public : Chief Minister

Raipur - The declaration of result of Police Recruitment Examination on Monday brought great sense of joy among the candidates who were waiting for the result of Subedar, Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander examination for a long time. The results of this examination were declared on the special initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

In this examination, 959 youth have been selected for the posts of Subedar, Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander. Overwhelmed by the declaration of the result, the candidates met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at Nava Raipur Circuit House on same day and expressed their gratitude to him. Out of the total selected candidates around 40 candidates were present on this occasion. They expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai by garlanding him with flowers and feeding him sweets.

The happiness of the grandson and granddaughter-in-law of elderly Smt. Dularbai Dewangan, who came from Bhilai, was visible on her face. She expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister for the initiative of result’s declaration. She blessed her grandson Shri Tilak Dewangan and granddaughter-in-law Smt. Bharti Dewangan for being selected. 

Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated and wished the selected candidates and said, “This Diwali will be festive of joy for all the selected candidates. You all should celebrate the happiness of your selection. Light lamps on Diwali and even on State Foundation Day.”

Chief Minister motivated the selected candidates saying that you all are going to take up a major responsibility. “As the security provider and proctor of the public, you have the responsibility of the safety of the public. Along with facing the Naxalite challenge, you also have the responsibility of maintaining law and order,” said Shri Sai.

He expressed hope that after training, the selected candidates will discharge their duties with full devotion and honesty.

The Chief Minister said that appointment letters have also been distributed to 83 Assistant Engineers of Water Resources Department on Monday. The recruitment process will continue for various posts in future as well. He said that the state government is working in compliance to the Prime Minister's resolution of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. The cooperation of all will build a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India. Chief Minister said that the selected candidates can join the Chandrakhuri Police Training Academy. He also said that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Run for Unity is being organized on Tuesday in advance due to Diwali and urged people to participate in it.

Water Resources Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap said that you people have got the opportunity to serve the country. Selected candidates will serve Chhattisgarh and the country, as well as work to curb illegal activities. 

Nitin, the candidate selected in this examination, expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and said that due to his efforts, the happiness of festivals has doubled as the result of the examination was declared before Diwali. Selected candidate Ms Nidhi said, “Declaration of the result has brought immense joy for the selected candidates. Thank you very much on behalf of all the selected people.”

On this occasion, ADGP Shri SRP Kalluri, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of Water Resources Department Shri Rajesh Sukumar Toppo and senior officers of the police department were present.

It is worth noting that this recruitment process started in 2018. The interview was held in August-September last year, since then the candidates were waiting for the result.

Raipur - Trainees from the Indian Police Service and State Police Service at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy in Chandkhuri paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan on Monday evening.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized the importance of dedication in their future roles, urging the trainees to commit themselves to the betterment of the community. He extended his congratulations and best wishes, encouraging them to fulfill their duties with devotion and integrity. The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to wish the trainee officers a happy Dhanteras and Diwali.
