Raipur - Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today attended the Shri Vishnu Mahayagna and Chakra Puja program organized by the Potters' Community in Narayanpur village of Jashpur district. He offered prayers and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. On this occasion, he announced ₹25 lakh for the establishment of a glazing unit for potters in Goriya village through the Mati Kala Board and for the expansion of the Potters' Community's Mangal Bhavan. The Chief Minister also distributed electronic potter's wheels to 100 potters from the Surguja division. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this sacred event, the Shri Vishnu Mahayagna, organized by the Potters' Community, is a living example of our cultural heritage. Chakra Puja is not merely the worship of the clay wheel, but symbolizes the creation of the universe, hard work, creativity, and the continuity of human life. He said that the Potters' Community is an integral part of Chhattisgarhi culture. All of you are adept at the art of clay. Your creative efforts add life and completeness to our festivals and religious rituals. Our government is fully committed to preserving, promoting, and empowering this precious heritage. Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that electronic potter's wheels are being distributed through the Chhattisgarh Mati Kala Board, which will reduce labor, increase production capacity, and provide better finishing to products. This will generate higher market prices and ensure a stable income throughout the year. He added that training programs related to new designs, modern technology, and entrepreneurship are also being conducted to train artisans. Our government is also providing financial assistance to potters, enabling them to purchase new equipment and expand their businesses. Fairs, exhibitions, and online platforms are being used for marketing, so that their art can reach not only the entire country but also abroad. He appealed to establish Chhattisgarh's clay art on a global scale. Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary, MLA Smt. Gomti Sai and Smt.
