Several influential individuals celebrated their birthdays on the national highway in the Sakri police station area of Bilaspur on Thursday night (December 4). Three four-wheelers blocked the road, performing stunts and setting off fireworks. Police have arrested 12 accused in this case. Despite the High Court's strictness, such activities continue.

In fact, Sujal Dewangan, son of Congress leader Ajay Dewangan of Takhatpur, Bilaspur, and former municipal council president Gauri Dewangan, celebrated his birthday on Thursday (December 4). The Congress leader's son left with his friends in three four-wheelers for the birthday celebration that night. According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, at around 11 p.m., the young men arrived at Yadav Dhaba on the Sakri-Pendridih bypass, where they partied. The young men then reached the National Highway, blocking the road by parking three vehicles on the road. They then cut a cake on the bonnet of the car. Along with the stunts, the young men also set off fireworks.
The patrolling police caught the accused
Sakri Police Station TI Vijay Chaudhary told the media that they were patrolling late at night when they received reports of fireworks on the national highway. Following this information, the team arrived at the scene and chased the youths and apprehended them. Police have registered a case against the accused under Section 285 of the BNS and the Motor Vehicles Act. All three four-wheelers have been seized. The accused's licenses have been sent to the RTO for suspension.
