Aadi Lokotsav has become a confluence of folk culture, tribal pride and national consciousness - Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai participated in the Aadi Lokotsav Parv-2025 organized in Goa. 

 Raipur-Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the "Aadi Lokotsav" festival-2025 held at Adarsh ​​Gram Amon, Ponguinim, Goa. Addressing the gathering, he congratulated and wished all participants. Goa's Arts and Culture Minister, Dr. Ramesh Tawdekar, was present at the event. Praising the organization of the "Aadi Lokotsav," Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that this folk festival is a vibrant celebration of connecting with the country's ancient culture, symbolizing India's folk-cultural consciousness. He said that India is a country of villages, and villages are our soul. The culture of villages is the culture of the country, and it is essential to keep it alive through folk songs, folk dances, traditional instruments, and traditions. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Goa government has been working to keep this cultural consciousness alive for the past 25 years, which is commendable. He expressed confidence that the Adi Lokotsav will be held in an even grander and more extensive format in the coming years. Paying homage to Lord Birsa Munda, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai stated that tribal history has been incredibly glorious. At the young age of 25, Lord Birsa Munda challenged the British and created history with his indomitable courage. He noted that there are many great men from the tribal community who have not received their due place in the country's history. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to bring respect and recognition to tribal warriors across the country. Recalling the sacrifice of Rani Durgavati, Chief Minister Sai said that she was a great heroine of the tribal community. Prime Minister Modi has given permanent form to her glory by constructing a magnificent museum in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, which is an indelible memorial of her bravery and sacrifice. In his address, Chief Minister Sai specifically recalled the contributions of tribal warriors from Chhattisgarh. He stated that Chhattisgarh is home to approximately 32 percent of the tribal population, and that 14 tribal leaders from here sacrificed their lives for the nation's independence. He added that great men like Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, Veer Gundadhur, and Gend Singh fought against the British and sacrificed their lives for the nation's independence. Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh was hanged by the British at Jai Stambh Chowk in the capital, Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Digital Museum has been constructed in Naya Raipur to preserve the memory of these tribal heroes and to convey the story of their sacrifice to the next generation. This is the country's first digital museum.It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Chhattisgarh Foundation Day. Chief Minister Shri Sai also invited all those present at the Adi Lokotsav to visit Chhattisgarh and visit this digital museum. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that there could be no greater pride for the tribal community than to have a daughter of the tribal community occupy the highest office in the country, His Excellency the President. He said that the appointment of a tribal woman as Chief Minister in a state like Chhattisgarh is a testament to Prime Minister Shri Modi's inclusive thinking. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, citing initiatives like the Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan and the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, said that the central government is committed to the overall development of the tribal community. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai recalled the contributions of respected Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said that it was during his tenure that the Ministry of Tribal Welfare was established for the first time in the country, through which large-scale budgets and schemes are being implemented for the development of more than 12 crore tribal citizens. He said that he considered it a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with Prime Minister Modi as a Cabinet Minister during his first term. Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh was once known as a Naxalite-affected state, but today that situation is rapidly changing. He said that the backbone of Naxalism has been broken, and the state has now entered a new era of peace, development, and investment. Industries are now coming to areas that previously lacked investment. He said that under the new industrial policy, Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals worth more than ₹8 lakh crore, shaping a new direction for the state's economic future.
