Bulldozers were used on the house of a man accused of raping a minor; a notice was issued seven days ago, and the house was completely demolished.

Raipur: Taking strict action against Abdul Sajjad Ansari, arrested on the serious charge of raping a minor, the Raipur Municipal Corporation ran a bulldozer on his illegal construction. The accused's house located at Raja Talab Jhanda Chowk was demolished on Wednesday morning. The Municipal Corporation had earlier issued a seven-day notice to the accused to submit the documents related to the house. The administration took action after the valid documents were not submitted within the stipulated time.

Police, municipal officials, administrative staff, and local councilors were present during the bulldozer operation. Strict security arrangements were made throughout the area to prevent any untoward incident. It is reported that Mayor Meenal Choubey herself visited the site a few days ago and ordered strict action against the accused's shop and house. Following this, the Municipal Corporation completed the legal process and took this action.

Local councilor Kailash Behera said that the strictest possible action should be taken against those who commit such crimes. He added that such incidents will not be tolerated in the ward and that criminals will not be protected under any circumstances.

According to the police, the accused ran a shop selling bangles, chocolates, nadda, and murrah in the Civil Lines police station area. He lured the 9-year-old girl to his home with these items. It is alleged that the accused raped the girl multiple times between January 7th and 11th. Upon learning of the incident, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused.
