The Mahatari Vandan Yojana has boosted the confidence of mothers and sisters – Chief Minister Shri Sai

Raipur, July 2026/The historic Rath Yatra of Amlipada symbolizes Chhattisgarh's rich cultural heritage and social harmony. Lord Jagannath gives the message of inclusiveness and public welfare. He prays that the Lord's blessings remain with the people of the state forever. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai made these remarks while addressing the grand celebration of Lord Jagannath's historic Rath Yatra held in Amlipada, Gariaband district, today.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai participated in the Rath Yatra festival today and prayed to Lord Shri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra and wished for happiness, prosperity, peace and well-being for the people of the state. Present on the occasion were Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Vice President of Chhattisgarh Gau Seva Aayog Shri Rajiv Lochan Maharaj and several public representatives.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is working tirelessly with a commitment to development and public welfare. The government's priority is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society and bring positive change to the lives of every citizen.

Electricity bill settlement scheme extended till September

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the deadline for the Chief Minister's Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme, which was set for June, has been extended by three months to September for the convenience of consumers. He appealed to the public to take maximum advantage of this scheme.

He said that the government is taking decisions with sensitivity to reduce the economic burden on the common citizens and provide them relief.

The Chief Minister said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is a historic initiative towards the economic empowerment of women. Through this scheme, funds are transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible women every month, empowering women to become self-reliant and play a vital role in strengthening their families' finances.

He said that empowerment of women is the strongest foundation of developed Chhattisgarh and the state government is continuously working in this direction.

Government committed to quick solution of public problems

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the state government is working around the clock to quickly resolve citizens' problems. He stated that the government is ensuring immediate action on complaints received, and that he personally reviews them daily. He added that more than 42,000 complaints have been successfully resolved so far, a testament to the government's commitment to good governance.

A bridge will be built over the Baltijor drain.

Accepting a long-standing demand from the area's residents, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai announced the construction of a bridge over the Baltijor drain. He said the bridge would provide easy and safe transportation throughout the year for the residents and provide significant relief to villagers in accessing essential services like education, health, and markets.

The Chief Minister had a cordial conversation with the children

During the Rath Yatra, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai stopped his convoy and had a cordial meeting with the students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir. He spoke with the children about their studies, future plans, and school activities. The Chief Minister encouraged the students and, at their request, even took a selfie with them. This easygoing and affectionate demeanor of the Chief Minister was a special attraction for those present.

Participation of a large number of devotees

Thousands of devotees enthusiastically participated in the Rath Yatra. Religious rituals, devotional music, and chants filled the entire Amlipada with a devotional atmosphere. Collector Mr. B.S. Uikey, Superintendent of Police Mr. Vedvrat Sirmour, along with other public representatives, administrative officials, and a large number of devotees were present at the event.
