Budgam Encounter: Pahalgam attack terrorist Hashim Musa killed with a reward of 20 lakh
Srinagar: Security forces recovered the body of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Mohammad Asif alias Hashim Musa during a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Wednesday. Musa's death was confirmed by the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps.
"During the morning search in the Palmaidan area, the body of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Mohammad Asif alias Hashim Musa and warlike material were recovered," the Chinar Corps said on X platform.
Army launches 'Operation Korag'
The Army and other security agencies launched 'Operation Korag' (OP KORAG) in the Yusmarg area late on Tuesday night based on specific intelligence inputs.
Alert soldiers observed suspicious activity and upon challenging the terrorists, opened fire, leading to a fierce exchange of fire, during which Hashim Musa was killed. According to an update from security forces, the operation continued and soldiers continued to search the area.
