Air pollution in Delhi is very dangerous, now even masks are not enough, Supreme Court expressed concern

New Delhi. Delhi Supreme Court: The Supreme Court has expressed concern about air pollution in Delhi. The court said that even masks are no longer sufficient to protect against air pollution in Delhi. The morning air quality bulletin released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded an AQI of 404.

During the hearing, some senior lawyers, including Kapil Sibal, arrived at the court. Justice Narasimha asked, "Why are you all coming here? Virtual hearings are available... please take advantage of them." Sibal replied, "We are using masks." Justice Narasimha then added, "Even masks are not enough."

In fact  a 'severe' AQI poses serious health risks even for healthy individuals and can severely affect those with respiratory or heart problems. Air pollution in cities remains critical.

Where is the most pollution?

Delhi remained shrouded in dense fog during the day on Thursday and the air quality remained in the 'severe' category for the third consecutive day.
