Disabled Shiv Sinha got a wheelchair and a stick at the village administration's good governance camp in Thethetangar.
Jashpurnagar. The good governance camp organized by the District Panchayat Kunkuri Gram Panchayat Thethetangar has emerged as a powerful means of quickly resolving public problems. Shiv Sinha's face was filled with joy as he received the wheelchair and cane. He now feels more independent than before and will be able to handle his daily tasks on his own. His family, who had long been worried about his condition, are now extremely happy and content.
This success story is proof that the Good Governance Camp is truly bringing positive change to the lives of those in need. This government initiative not only provides assistance but also gives those in need new hope for a life of dignity.

Chief Minister Sai's initiative sets an example for Sukma's rehabilitation policy
Raipur . The hands that once held guns, today hold tools. The paths that once bore the shadow of violence and fear, are now being paved with development and trust. In accordance with the sensitive thinking and clear intention of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a new and positive picture of the rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites has emerged in Sukma district. A concrete initiative has been taken to make 35 surrendered Naxalites living in the rehabilitation centre self-reliant by imparting them vocational training in masonry.
This training is being conducted in collaboration with the district administration and SBI RSETI. The training program involves 15 women and 20 men. They are being systematically and step-by-step trained in all the essential technical and practical skills related to building construction—such as foundation construction, bricklaying, plaster work, roof casting, and quality standards—so that they can work efficiently in any construction project.
This initiative is not limited to employment training, but is also becoming a powerful tool to give a new direction to the lives of surrendered youth. After receiving training, these youth will play an active role in the construction of both unfinished and new houses in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). This will provide them with permanent and respectable employment, while also addressing the long-standing shortage of skilled masons in Naxal-affected and remote areas. Collector Mr. Devesh Dhruv described this initiative as an important step towards social change, stating that surrender does not simply mean giving up arms, but rather becoming self-reliant and returning to mainstream society with dignity. He added that the district administration is striving to provide skills, employment, and all basic amenities to the youth residing in the rehabilitation center, so that they can live a life with dignity.
District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mukund Thakur said that skilled human resources are essential for the successful implementation of various government construction projects, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin. This training will connect surrendered youth with employment and social concerns. Rehabilitated Podium Bhima, a resident of Polampalli, says that he was associated with the organization for almost 30 years, but after surrendering, his life has completely changed. “There are good arrangements for accommodation and food here. We are being trained as masons. Earlier, I also received training as an electrician and mechanic. Now I will be able to work with respect.”
Muchaki Ranvati, a resident of Purvarti, says that she was associated with the organization for 24 years. After rehabilitation, I got training in sewing. Now mason training is being given. We were able to meet our family, participated in Bastar Olympics and also won the first prize. We are getting full benefit of the government schemes. Ganga Vetti, a resident of Dabbarka, said that after rehabilitation, his life has completely changed. The district administration has given him a mobile and mason kit. Aadhar card, Ayushman card, ration card and job card have been made by organizing camps. If there is any problem, the collector and SP listen to it immediately.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, speaking about this initiative, said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to establishing lasting peace in Naxal-affected areas through dialogue, empathy, and development. Integrating surrendered youth into mainstream society by providing them with skills, employment, and respect is a core objective of the state's rehabilitation policy. This ongoing effort in Sukma district to connect surrendered youth with employment-oriented projects is proof that through sensitive administration, trust, and developmental projects, youth who have strayed onto the path of violence can be given a new identity and a better future. This is the true success of rehabilitation and a strong foundation for lasting peace.

Affordable housing and better residential facilities were provided to the people - OP Chaudhary
Raipur. State Housing and Environment Minister Mr. OP Choudhary, addressing a press conference at the Chhattisgarh Samvad Auditorium, said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Housing and Environment Department has achieved remarkable success in the past two years. These two years have focused on providing affordable housing, improved living facilities, developing livelihood opportunities, and maintaining an environmentally friendly ease of living. The department's work has improved citizens' lives and laid a solid foundation for the state's bright future.Minister Chaudhary stated that two years ago, the Chhattisgarh Housing Board was facing numerous challenges. Over 3,200 residential and commercial properties remained unsold, amounting to ₹735 crore. This amount was provided by the state government to free the board of debt. Currently, the board has no debt. The government launched a one-time settlement scheme (OTS-2) to facilitate the sale of properties that had remained unsold for a long time. Through this scheme, discounts of up to 30 percent were provided on these properties. This scheme was successful, with 1,251 properties sold in just nine months, generating revenue of ₹190 crore. This amount will be spent on upcoming projects to ensure that maximum beneficiaries can benefit from affordable housing and commercial properties. He explained that a new construction policy has been implemented to avoid unsold inventory in the future. Demand-driven construction will now be prioritized. Projects will be initiated based on actual market needs, reducing financial risk.
According to the new policy, 60% registration, or 30% registration in the first three months, is mandatory. Construction work will begin only after this. This system will ensure the viability of projects and give direct consideration to citizen demands. Chaudhary stated that the online portal has been further strengthened for the convenience of allottees. Processes have become simpler and more timely. Citizens will no longer have to visit offices. Information is being provided 24/7 through an AI-based chatbot. The need for human intervention has been reduced, increasing both transparency and convenience.
Minister Chaudhary presented information regarding the achievements of the Raipur Development Authority. He stated that the Authority is constructing the PM Unity Mall at a cost of ₹193 crore. Additionally, the construction of 168 flats in Tikrapara is proposed, for which tenders have been invited. The Authority launched the online system in January. He stated that historic decisions have been made in the last two years for the development of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Nava Raipur Atal Nagar has become the country's first debt-free greenfield city. This achievement is being considered nationally significant. The Authority has repaid the entire debt of ₹1,345 crore. This debt was related to previous development projects. This was made possible through disciplined financial management. No new debt was incurred. With the repayment of the debt, land and property worth ₹5,030 crore became mortgage-free. Now, these assets are completely free. This will accelerate investment and development proposals.
Significant initiatives have also been taken to increase industrial and commercial activity in Naya Raipur. A textile park is being developed on an area of 132 acres. An investment of approximately ₹2,000 crore is estimated in the textile park. This investment will strengthen the state's industrial economy, providing opportunities for MSMEs and large industries, and enhancing export potential. The project is expected to create over 12,000 jobs, including both direct and indirect employment. This will provide opportunities for local youth and accelerate regional development.
An investment of ₹1,800 crore is proposed in the semiconductor and IT sectors. This initiative is designed with advanced 5G and 6G technologies in mind. This will give the state a new identity on the technology map and strengthen the digital ecosystem. The IT sector is expected to create approximately 10,000 new jobs, providing high-skilled employment opportunities, and fostering startups and technology companies. Chaudhary stated that Naya Raipur will emerge as a tech hub. Naya Raipur is being developed as a conference capital. There are plans to attract national and international events.
