Sheikh Hasina Death Penalty: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has convicted former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for 'crimes against humanity'. New Delhi : Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) supremo Jitan Ram Manjhi and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president Upendra Kushwaha have held separate meetings with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was the BJP’s election in-charge in Bihar, at his residence here.

The BJP’s in-charge of political affairs in Bihar, Vinod Tawde, was also present when the two NDA allies visited Pradhan’s residence on Sunday November 16 , 2025 . This comes amid the NDA’s preparations to form a government in Bihar after its landslide victory in the state assembly polls.

“Met Union Minister and Bihar BJP in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan and Bharatiya Janata Party’s general secretary Vinod Tawde, who worked tirelessly to ensure a massive victory of the NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections, 2025, and congratulated them,” Manjhi, who is also a Union minister, said in an X post.

He also posted pictures of his meeting with the two BJP leaders.

After meeting Pradhan at his residence, Kushwaha, in a post in Hindi on X, said, “I met Union Education Minister and in-charge of Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar elections, Dharmendra Pradhan, and congratulated him on the grand victory of the NDA.”

The RLM chief also posted a picture of his meeting with the senior BJP leader.

Sources said both Manjhi and Kushwaha discussed with the BJP leaders government formation in Bihar and representation of their parties in the state cabinet.

Decks were being cleared on Sunday for the formation of a new government in Bihar with the scheduling of the last meeting of the outgoing cabinet, which would, understandably, authorise Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take necessary action.

According to a notification of the cabinet secretariat department, the council of ministers will meet on Monday, when, according to a senior JD(U) leader, a resolution will be passed to “authorise” Kumar to meet the governor with the proposal to dissolve the outgoing assembly.

Patna: The swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Bihar is likely to take place in Patna on November 20, official sources said on Monday November 17 , 2025 .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other top leaders of the NDA, including union ministers, are expected to take part in the oath-taking event, they said.

The sources said Kumar is likely to submit his resignation to the Governor as head of the outgoing government on November 19.

Earlier in the day, Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal told reporters that the newly elected legislators will meet on Tuesday to elect their legislature party leader.

“Most likely, the oath-taking ceremony of the new government will take place either on November 20 or November 21,” he said.

Preparations are underway at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan for the swearing-in event.

Meanwhile, the last cabinet meeting of the outgoing NDA government in Bihar on Monday “authorised” Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to recommend dissolution of the assembly, a state minister said.

“The CM met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan soon after the meeting to apprise him about the decision of the cabinet. At the meeting, the council of ministers passed a resolution to recommend the dissolution of the assembly on November 19,” senior JD(U) leader and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Choudhary told reporters.

Kumar, accompanied by Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary and Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, met the Governor after the meeting.

“The cabinet passed another resolution, thanking the CM for the landslide victory of the NDA in Bihar. This is the best ever performance by the alliance in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar… It was made possible because of the visionary policies of the state government,” Vijay Choudhary said.

In the recent assembly polls, the NDA bagged more than 200 seats in the 243-member House, with the BJP winning the maximum number of 89 seats, followed by the JD(U)’s tally of 85.

A JD(U) source said it will elect Kumar as legislature party leader on November 19.

Patna: NDA government: The path to the formation of an NDA government in Bihar has been cleared. He used to order special paper online, cut it with a blade, make markings with a pencil, then put RBI strip on a separate paper and join both the papers. After this, he used to print the note from the printer and make it look like the original one. Finally, by adding watermark, he used to make the note completely look like the original one.

Accused Vivek, who has circulated counterfeit notes worth ₹5 to ₹6 lakh,
revealed that he had already circulated approximately ₹5 to ₹6 lakh in counterfeit currency. He would purchase small items and exchange them for counterfeit ₹500 notes, accepting real change. He would always go to areas far from his home to avoid suspicion.

A large quantity of material was recovered from the house.
When the police raided his house, 428 fake notes of Rs 500 were found, whose total value is Rs 2,25,500. Along with this, computer, printer, punch machine, note printing die, glue, cutter, screen plate, viable paper, light box, steel scale and dot stepping foil were also seized. The police is now interrogating the accused whether he did this work alone or other people are also involved in this gang. The police is trying to catch the network of fake notes. At present, a detailed investigation of the case is going on.

 In a major operation, a joint team of police and Tata Company seized 225 kg of counterfeit Tata salt from a shop in Sahabganj Mandi, located in the Rajghat police station area of ​​Gorakhpur. The raid was conducted based on a complaint from the company's investigating officer. According to officials, the salt packaging was so authentic that ordinary consumers could not distinguish between the real and the fake. Police have registered a case based on the complaint of the company official.

Damru Anand, a resident of Palamkot in Noida and an investigation officer of Tata Company, said in his complaint that he had received information that fake salt was being sold in the name of Tata brand in Sahabganj Mandi. Upon confirmation of the information, the company team and Rajghat police conducted a joint raid on November 12.

During the search, 225 kg of fake salt packed in nine sacks was found in the shop of businessman Lavkush Prasad. The packing, label and seal were so similar that it was almost impossible to differentiate between the real and fake. The police have registered a case against the accused under several sections including the Copyright Act.

Three minor students riding a scooter were killed after being hit by a truck on Saturday in the Hyderabad police station area of ​​Lakhimpur Kheri district in Uttar Pradesh, police said. Meanwhile, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh blamed “vote chori” for Mahagathbandhan’s defeat, calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Election Commission “masterminds” behind it. Jairam Ramesh said that Congress remains committed to its campaign to “protect the Constitution and save democracy.”

National Democratic Alliance (NDA) registered an emphatic win in the Bihar Assembly polls as the alliance crossed the majority mark of 122 seats required to form the government in the state. As of the latest figures, the NDA has secured 194 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan has won 33 seats.

As per the latest data, the Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the single largest party with 87 seats, followed closely by the Janata Dal (United), which has secured 80 seats. From within the NDA, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has also delivered a notable performance by winning 18 seats out of the 29 seats it contested.

For the Mahagathbandhan, RJD has secured 24 seats, while the Indian National Congress has so far managed to secure just 6 seats.

Process to check PM Kisan beneficiary list online

It's now very easy to view the list of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana online. Farmers can check their eligibility information in a few simple steps.

To view the beneficiary list, visit the official PM Kisan portal. Select the Farmer's Corner option on the homepage. Click on the Beneficiary List link. Next, enter the state, district, sub-district, block, and village information. Once you enter the captcha code and submit it, the complete list of beneficiaries will appear on the screen.

It is noteworthy that under the PM Kisan Yojana, financial assistance of ₹6,000 is provided to farmers each year in three installments. Before releasing the 21st installment, the government aims to ensure that all eligible farmers receive timely benefits and that no farmer is left out of the scheme.

Jammu & Kashmir Blast: An explosion occurred on Friday night at the Nowgam police station premises in Jammu and Kashmir when police personnel were taking samples of ammonium nitrate, an explosive material seized in Faridabad in connection with a terrorist module case. Nine people were killed and 27 injured in the incident.

Area rocked by explosions

It was around 11:20 pm. There was silence in the valleys of Jammu and Kashmir. Suddenly, the sound of several explosions one after the other in the Nowgam police station shocked the people. After the explosion, the sirens of ambulances and police vehicles started resounding in the silence of the night and the injured were taken to the hospital. 9 people were killed and 29 injured in the explosion in Nowgam, Srinagar, Kashmir. The number of casualties may increase, as 5 are seriously injured and are undergoing treatment. The explosion in Nowgam police station was caused by the same ammonium nitrate which had caused the blast in the i20 car in front of the Red Fort in Delhi.

The tailor who made the explosive cover also died.

Kashmir police officials said the blast was so powerful that identifying the victims was difficult. Many bodies remain unidentified. Several cars caught fire as a result of the explosion. The death toll is expected to rise further.

A Kashmir resident said that a local tailor was also killed in the blast at the Nowgam police station. He was tasked with making covers to conceal explosive material. He died during the explosion.

How did the blast happen in the police station?

A few days ago, a doctor was arrested in Kashmir, and on his information, approximately 2,900 kilograms of explosives were seized from Faridabad. It is suspected to be ammonium nitrate. Jammu and Kashmir Police seized 360 kilograms of explosive material from the rented residence of Dr. Muzammil Ganai in Faridabad. Ganai is one of eight people arrested so far in this terrorist module case. Police officials say that the FSL team was collecting samples of the explosive material when it exploded. The injured policemen have been taken to 92 Base Hospital for treatment.
