Liquor smuggling worth crores: Police seize 4 trucks, arrest the person who paid for the diesel in the vehicles.
Jashpur: Chhattisgarh's Jashpur police have achieved a major breakthrough in a liquor smuggling case. Police have arrested an accused who paid for the diesel fuel used in the vehicles involved in the liquor smuggling. Police are currently searching for the main accused.

It should be noted that Jashpur police seized four trucks smuggling liquor in different police station areas, seizing foreign liquor worth crores of rupees. Police also apprehended five individuals who were transporting the liquor from Chandigarh to Bihar. Police investigated the accused and arrested the accused who paid for the diesel fuel in the vehicles involved in the smuggling.
According to reports, police seized a truck in the Duldula area in February, after which another truck was brought from Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, to Jashpur. 1,574 cartons of foreign liquor worth ₹3 crore were recovered from the truck, and both drivers were arrested. Similarly, police seized two trucks in August and October, from which 1,160 cartons of foreign liquor worth ₹1 crore were recovered, and three accused were arrested.
Police engaged in search of the main accused
When the police checked the details of all of them, it was found that all of them used to take liquor from Chandigarh to Bihar for consumption. Karna, a resident of Kurukshetra in Haryana, used to make the payment for the diesel filled in the trucks involved in smuggling. In such a situation, when the police arrested Karna Sharma and interrogated him, he told that he works in online money transaction and on the instructions of an accused, he used to make the payment for the diesel filled in the vehicles involved in smuggling on the basis of commission. Meanwhile, the police have started searching for the main accused who made the payment.
