Raipur.  Amit Baghel, president of the Johar Chhattisgarh Party, has surrendered at the Devendra Nagar police station. A large crowd of his supporters is present outside the police station. Cases have been registered against Amit Baghel for making inflammatory statements in 12 states, including Chhattisgarh. Raipur police had been searching for Amit Baghel since the FIR was filed. The police had also announced a reward of 5,000 rupees for him. While the police were searching for Amit Baghel, Amit Baghel surrendered today at the Devendra Nagar police station.

A large police force is also deployed outside the police station. It is being reported that Amit Baghel will be produced in court after the police proceedings.
