Raipur.  Players from Dantewada district performed brilliantly in the Bastar division level Bastar Olympics 2025 and won medals in many disciplines. In the athletics 400 meter race, talented runner from Dantewada, Ranu Bhogami, won the gold medal (first place) on the strength of her tireless hard work and excellent technique. Ranu Bhogami is a trained athlete of Eklavya Sports Complex, Jawanga (Gidaam), who displayed excellent speed and composure throughout the competition.

370 players represented Dantewada district.
This time, a total of 370 participants from Dantewada district took part in the division-level competitions, including 184 women and 186 men. This large participation of players reflects the sports spirit and the strength of the sports infrastructure in the district.

Dantewada's outstanding performance in various sports disciplines:
Athletes achieved notable success in several sports, including third place in tug of war. In the senior women's category, Dantewada secured first place in volleyball, second place in kabaddi, and third place in junior women's hockey. In badminton, Dantewada secured first place in junior women's doubles, second place in junior men's singles, and second place in senior men's singles. In the athletics competition, Dantewada's Pandu Ram won first place in javelin throw, and Anusurya won first place in throwing. These achievements demonstrate that the youth of Dantewada district are consistently excelling in various sports and possess the potential to compete in high-level competitions.
The district administration, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, and coaches congratulated all the winners and participants and wished them a bright future.
