Raipur. Chief Minister Sai, while greeting the people of the state on National Energy Conservation Day (December 14), said that energy conservation is essential for sustainable development, environmental balance and a secure future for future generations. Prudent, responsible and efficient use of energy not only helps in conserving natural resources but is also an effective means of tackling the global challenge of climate change.

The Chief Minister said that the PM Suryaghar Yojana, run by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, is an important initiative to make clean and renewable energy accessible to the masses. This scheme is encouraging solar energy at the domestic level, which is reducing electricity expenditure and strengthening energy self-reliance.

The Chief Minister called upon the people of the state to make energy conservation an integral part of their daily lifestyle, make maximum use of energy-efficient appliances and actively contribute in making Chhattisgarh a green, clean and developed state through small collective efforts.
