Budget resolution will prove to be a milestone for the development of farmers, poor and weaker sections - Netam
Raipur. Agriculture and Tribal Development Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, responding to the ₹1.72 trillion budget "Sankalp" presented by Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary in the House for the financial year 2026-27, said that the Budget Sankalp will prove to be a milestone for the development of the state's farmers, the poor, and the vulnerable. He stated that the state is experiencing all-round development under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. Following the Budgets presented in previous years, "Gyan" and "Gati" (Gyan), this Sankalp will pave the way for the state's continued development. It will also help fulfill the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's "Developed India"/2047.
Minister Shri Netam stated that this budget will strengthen agriculture, the cornerstone of the state's culture and economy. A provision of ₹200 crore has been made for the Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Evolution Campaign, which will ensure holistic development in tribal-dominated areas. A budget provision has been made for the Tribal Surgudi Studio. The Scheduled Caste Development Authority's funding has been increased from 50 crore rupees to 75 crore rupees. An 80 crore rupee provision has been made for the Other Backward Classes Development Authority. A budget provision has been made for a department head's building for the benefit of backward classes. 500 crore rupees has been allocated under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana and 200 crore rupees for housing construction. 3 crore rupees has been allocated for Baiga and priests in Scheduled Tribe-dominated gram panchayats. This budget will undoubtedly play a vital role in economically empowering the people of the state.
