Good Governance Festival 2026 to begin today: Campaign to run across the state from May 1 to June 10
Raipur, Chhattisgarh: "Good Governance Festival 2026" is set to begin today to quickly and effectively address the problems of ordinary citizens. This campaign will run across the state until June 10, 2026, under which large-scale public problem-solving camps will be organized in rural and urban areas.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has issued a letter to all district collectors in this regard, clearly instructing them that timely resolution of public complaints is the foundation of good governance. He stated that providing transparent, simple, and prompt services to the public is the state government's top priority.
Emphasis on resolving pending cases in the first phase
In the initial phase of the campaign itself, collectors have been directed to ensure the resolution of all pending cases on priority by April 30. This includes:
* Revenue cases like name transfer, partition, demarcation
* Pending MNREGA wage payments
* Pending payments of beneficiary-oriented schemes
* Income, caste, residence certificates
* Special attention will be given to the speedy resolution of electricity, transformer and drinking water (hand pump) problems. Instructions have also been given to provide the benefits of Ujjwala Yojana, ration card, Ayushman Bharat and social security pension to eligible beneficiaries.
Solution camps will be organized across the state
Under the Good Governance Festival, camps will be organised from May 1 to June 10.
* Camps in groups of 15-20 Gram Panchayats in rural areas
* Ward cluster based events in urban areas
* On-the-spot acceptance of applications and distribution of benefits
* Redressal of applications within a maximum period of one month
Awareness about the government schemes will also be increased in the camps and every applicant will be informed about the status of his/her application.
Participation and direct dialogue of public representatives
During the campaign, ministers, MPs, MLAs, Chief Secretary and In-charge Secretary will visit the camps from time to time to inspect the arrangements and establish direct communication with the common citizens.
CM will conduct surprise inspection and review
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai himself visited various districts.

After the inspection, he will share information through a press conference and will also take suggestions from citizens and social organizations.
Widespread publicity will create a mass movement
The Public Relations Department and the district administration have been directed to develop an effective action plan for widespread publicity of the campaign. Maximum number of people will be reached through digital, print, and local media.
