 The district will get a new momentum in development with the inauguration and foundation stone laying of 89 works worth Rs 263.17 crore.

 Farmers get a big gift before Holi  

Raipur-Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today transferred over ₹10,324 crore to the accounts of 25.28 lakh farmers in the state at the input assistance distribution ceremony and a large farmers' conference held under the Krishak Unnati Yojana in Rahangi, Bilha development block. This includes 1,25,352 farmers from Bilaspur district, whose accounts received ₹494.38 crore. Giving new impetus to the district's development, the Chief Minister inaugurated seven development works completed at a cost of ₹15.99 crore and laid the foundation stone for 82 development works worth ₹247.18 crore. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and other guests were honored with Khumri and Ploughshare. A video based on the theme "Blessing of the Krishak Unnati Yojana, Every Farmer of Chhattisgarh is Wealthy" was also released. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that today is a day to honor our farmers. He stated that more than 2.528 million farmers in the state have sold paddy, and today, more than ₹10,000 crore has been transferred to farmers' accounts through the Krishak Unnati Yojana (Farmers' Advancement Scheme). Chief Minister Sai stated that this amount is being provided before Holi so that farmers can celebrate the festival with joy. Chief Minister Sai stated that his government is farmer-friendly and, with farmers' concerns, has implemented progressive schemes for them. This year, farmers faced no problems with gunny bags, and funds were credited to their accounts on time. He added that the government has facilitated loans at zero percent interest rates, and millions of farmers are now benefiting from Kisan Credit Cards. He added that a system has been established in the state to provide farmers with the highest price for paddy, a level unmatched elsewhere. Chief Minister Sai added that funds are also being transferred to the accounts of landless agricultural laborers. Work is being done at every level for the prosperity of farmers, including fertilizer subsidies and expansion of irrigation facilities, and efforts are being made to make cooperatives profitable. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the country's successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is providing farmers with a Samman Nidhi amount of Rs 6,000. The provision of more than Rs 13,000 crore for agriculture in this year's budget reflects the government's commitment and sensitivity towards farmers. Farmers should get adequate water in their fields.To this end, irrigation facilities are being expanded. The Chief Minister stated that Naxalism is on the verge of elimination from the Bastar region, and we are achieving success in this direction. The resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will certainly be fulfilled by March 2026. Chief Minister Sai stated that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in mineral resources, and through proper exploitation of these minerals, the state is being propelled forward on the path of development. He stated that Chhattisgarh has immense tourism potential. An agreement has been signed with the National Disaster Response Force (NDDB) to promote animal husbandry in the state, and a milk revolution is now imminent in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Sai stated that his government has worked diligently to fulfill all of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's promises, and most of the promises have been fulfilled in the last two years. Upon forming the government, housing was approved for 1.8 million poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the first cabinet meeting of the state. He said that the state government has established the Department of Good Governance and Convergence and implemented the e-office system to bring transparency to administration. The Chief Minister reiterated his resolve to develop Chhattisgarh with everyone's participation. Chief Minister Shri Sai also made important announcements at the event. He announced the upgrading of the Primary Health Center in Chakarbhata to a Community Health Center, the upgrading of the Secondary School in Mangala to a High School, and the construction of a boundary wall and stage at the playground in Rahangi. He also announced a grant of ₹50 lakh for the community hall of the Satnami community and ₹50 lakh for the community hall of the Adivasi community in Pattharkhan. Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, addressing the event, said that the Chief Minister's visit to the farmers to provide benefits under the Krishi Unnati Yojana is a historic moment. He said that today the Chief Minister has directly transferred over ₹10,300 crore to farmers' accounts. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, paddy funds are being transferred to farmers' accounts every year. Encouraging farmers, he said that growing pulses and oilseeds is more profitable than paddy, and farmers should adopt crop diversification. The Agriculture Minister stated that innovation and change in farming will bring prosperity to farmers' lives. An action plan is also underway to promote dairy production and fisheries in the state. He encouraged farmers to adopt mixed farming and organic farming and thanked the Chief Minister for the transfer of funds. Welcoming the farmers, Bilha MLA Dharamlal Kaushik said that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai understands the pain and hard work of farmers and has come to present them with a gift of their hard work and perseverance before Holi. Chhattisgarh is prosperous because of the hard work of these farmers. In the past three years, more than four lakh metric tons of paddy has been procured, and more than ₹1.5 lakh crore has been transferred to farmers' accounts. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, roads,Better work has been done in all dimensions of development including irrigation and the state is continuously moving forward with the concept of developed Chhattisgarh. While presenting the report, Agriculture Production Commissioner Mrs. Shahla Nigar said that input assistance is provided to farmers under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, the objective of which is to strengthen their livelihood and improve their economic condition. She said that in the year 2025-26, assistance amounting to more than Rs 10 thousand crore will be provided to more than 25 lakh farmers. Along with this, emphasis has been laid on promoting crop diversification, farmers have been encouraged to grow pulses and oilseeds crops along with paddy.

 Farmers expressed their gratitude by talking to the Chief Minister. 

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai virtually interacted with the farmer beneficiaries of the state. Basanti Kashyap, a woman beneficiary from Jagdalpur, said that an amount of Rs 36 thousand has come into her account, due to which she will celebrate the festival of Holi in a good way. Sukhan Sai, a Pahari Korwa beneficiary from Korba district, said that he had sold 73 quintals of paddy and received an amount of Rs 53 thousand. He said that he will spend this amount on building a house. Samarth Singh, a farmer from Janjgir district, said that he has received the difference amount of Rs 1 lakh 41 thousand, for which he thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai. MLAs Shri Amar Agrawal, Shri Sushant Shukla, CREDA Chairman Shri Bhupendra Savanni, District Panchayat Chairman Shri Rajesh Suryavanshi, former MLA Dr. Krishnamurthy Bandhi, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Textbook Corporation Shri Raja Pandey, Chairman of District Cooperative Central Bank Limited Shri Rajneesh Singh, Mayor Smt. Pooja Vidhani along with other public representatives, Agriculture Production Commissioner Smt. Shahla Nigar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri P. Dayanand, Director of Agriculture Shri Rahul Dev, Commissioner Shri Sunil Jain, IG Shri Ramgopal Garg, Collector Shri Sanjay Agrawal, SSP Shri Rajnesh Singh, officers and employees of the Agriculture Department and a large number of villagers were present in the program.
