Bihaan gives new wings to Seema, helps farmers become self-reliant by using drone technology
Raipur. Seema Verma of the village panchayat Paundi, district panchayat Masturi, Bilaspur district, who once lived a life of limited resources and financial difficulties, is now reaching new heights of success through her courage, hard work, and dedication to adopting new technology. By joining the National Rural Livelihood Mission (Bihan), she has not only changed the direction of her life but has also become a source of inspiration for other women in the village. Today, she is known as Drone Didi in the village.

In 2014, Seema Verma began her new journey by joining the Jai Maa Gayatri Self-Help Group. Initially, she tried to strengthen her financial situation through savings and small tasks with the group. After joining Bihan, she found self-employment opportunities and began producing para mushrooms. Through her hard work and dedication, she expanded this work, generating a steady income. Her
desire to learn new things and advance her career inspired Seema to embrace modern technology. She received training in drone operation. Following this training, she was provided with a drone set, generator, and e-vehicle with government assistance. Subsequently, she began spraying pesticides on farmers' fields using drones. Today, Seema Verma is making farming easier for farmers through drone technology and earning a respectable income. People in the village now affectionately call her "Drone Didi."
Seema Verma's inspiring journey proves that with the right opportunity, training, and guidance, rural women can also reach new heights through their own determination. The 'Bihan' scheme gave a new direction to their lives and gave new wings to their dreams.
